Our Mission

MORE THAN MEETING NEEDS

Our mission is to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of individuals experiencing homelessness through compassion, practical support, authentic relationships, and the transforming hope of Jesus Christ.

When much of the world shut down during COVID, we began looking for a place to serve. We joined a local street outreach in Harrisburg, not knowing how deeply it would change us. What started as one opportunity to serve quickly became a calling.

Week after week, we built relationships with people experiencing homelessness, listened to their stories, prayed with them, and shared the hope of Jesus. We realized that beyond food, clothing, or hygiene supplies, people were longing to be seen, known, and loved. Today, 22.9 Ministries exists to continue that mission.
